The Bell in Ticehurst was the venue for Tom & Becs’ big day and I was so pleased that they asked me to be their wedding photographer. I’d never done wedding photography at The Bell in Ticehurst before but I instantly fell in love with it’s quirky and cool decor and buildings. A lot of thought has gone into making this place really stand out. Tom and the chaps were getting ready in the love nest which is a circular lodge made to look like a nest and it’s got a seating area at the top overlooking the gardens. Tom got really choked up when we were talking about him seeing Becs walking down the aisle. I love it when you can see how much a wedding means to a couple. Tom & Becs were so excited about the amazing venue they’d got and all their friends and family being there but mostly about marrying each other. Becs was getting ready in one of the upstairs rooms with her Bridesmaids and there were some really tender moments when her Dad came to see her all ready for the ceremony. They walked down the road to St Mary the Virgin Church in Ticehurst and after lots of congratulatory hugs and kisses they made their way back to The Bell. Bec’s Bridesmaid Holly had organised a string quartet to play during the afternoon drinks reception as a gift and a total surprise to Becs. She also sung the first dance (if Carlsberg did Bridesmaids eh!?) The wedding breakfast was served on long banqueting tables and the speeches were given in-front of a large neon “I will always love you my friend” sign. Tom & Becs went back to the love nest and decided they wanted to climb into the empty copper bath there (fully clothed I’ll add) so that was a first for me to photograph! After lots of dancing I left this wedding feeling very pleased I’d got to know Tom & Becs over the course of the day. They were both so welcoming, enthusiastic and clearly in love. Their immediate families, Groomsmen and Bridesmaids were so lovely towards me! I hope you enjoy seeing my favourite images from the day and I hope to be back to The Bell soon. Tom & Becs said
“Olly… You’ve made us cry! The images are truly incredible! Thank you so very much, we love them! You made our day extra special. We’ve had so many people comment on how fabulous you were, thanks for being so great! The only problem now is that the photos are making us want to go back and have the day again!”
