Simon & Heather chose to get married at the beautiful Chateau de Lerse near Bordeaux in the South West of France and I was honoured to be able to join them! The boys hit the pool in the morning and a Groomsman diving in head first has got to be one of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken! The girls got ready upstairs in the Chateau overlooking the grounds where they had their outdoor ceremony with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. When Heather got in her dress her Dad cried, her Mum cried, her Bridesmaids cried and because of all the emotion going on even her photographer cried(!) There was a spontaneous Bride vs Groom game of boules, amazing food and then the party well and truly started in the evening. Simon & Heather totally bought into my documentary style and were so at ease with one another even with a camera directed towards them! Grateful to Dan Packham for coming to second shoot for me, keep me company and watch me eat snails(!!) and Laurie the wedding planner was a dream to work with. Can’t wait for more French weddings in 2023/24!

Wow what a fantastic wedding photographer Olly is! We are so pleased with our photos…he perfectly captured our day with all the best moments and made us (who normally hate being in front of a camera) feel relaxed.
