Peadar & Sarah’s wedding in Rome was an absolute treat to photograph and by the end of the wedding I’d learnt how to say Peadar’s name properly (I think!?) We started by photographing their welcome BBQ on top of the hill at Borgo di Tragliata as the sun went down. It was perfect light. We all thought it was going to be a washout leading up to the wedding but the wedding planner Cristina said “it never rains at Borgo” I admired her confidence but didn’t believe her(!) You know what- not a spot of rain all day and we were able to be outside the whole afternoon. Peadar & Sarah are based in Ireland having lived in Australia up until recently and they brought 130 friends and family from across the world to Rome for their wedding weekend. I had an amazing time with them. They were both fun, generous and up for a party. They’d walked through some really difficult times in the couple of years leading up to their wedding so that made this celebration all the more special.

It’s very hard to summarise just how good Olly was when capturing our wedding in Rome. He’s mastered his craft and is an absolute joy to be around. The level of care and enthusiasm Olly brought to our wedding day was noticed and complimented by so many of our guests. His documentary style photography is so subtle on the day, he blended into the crowd and mingled with the guests like he knew everyone. The photos he was able to capture from his ability to mingle with the crowd are amazing, it’s a story book of the entire day. We couldn’t be happier with his work and couldn’t recommend him enough.
