What a weekend! Nick & Olivia got married on the Saturday at St Peter & St Paul’s Church in Borden, Kent. The Church is next door to her Uncle’s beautiful home where they got ready and then had their reception. They’d planned the weekend out really well sticking to the 30 person limit for weddings. They had a sit down meal with 30 members of their family after the ceremony & once family had departed 30 of their friends arrived in the evening for a black tie event with speeches. Olivia always said to her family that she wanted to get married before she was 30. She did this by one day as Olivia turned 30 on the Sunday(!) so I went back to photograph them celebrating with 30 different friends. I loved getting to know some brilliant people (I’ll never forget Jean- Mother of the Bride), eating some delicious food (well done Kitchen of Kent) and coating my hands in too much Bramley hand san (just don’t accidentally squirt it in your eye… I learnt the hard way…) Here’s some my favourites from the weekend! Olly was so brilliant at staying in touch in the lead up to the wedding he already felt like a treasured wedding guest when we met. As someone who really doesn’t like having their photo taken, Olly’s ability to blend in made me feel completely at ease! His photos are captured as if he had known us and our family and friends for years, as he intuitively focussed on the important people, relationships and quirks. The photos are so fabulous!
