Matt & Holly’s wedding in Tuscany was an incredible occasion for me to photograph. I arrived in Pisa early Friday evening and went to the villa where Matt, Holly and their wedding guests were staying in to cover the pizza party there. The light was perfect so I photographed Matt & Holly having some time together too. It was a good time to get to know lots of the family so by the wedding morning I’d know some names and faces! On the wedding morning I started at the villa photographing the boys in the pool (with their inflatable swan) and the girls having their hair and make up done. It was 37c already so I decided to drink more water than I ever had before! The ceremony was in a stunning Castle up the hill and Matt & Holly had kept this as a surprise for everyone at the wedding. The meal with many courses (you’ve got to love Italian food!) was followed by speeches in the courtyard and then Matt & Holly went on a stroll up the hill overlooking the vineyards just as the sun was going down. It was perfect and resulted in one of my favourite wedding pictures I’ve ever taken! There was lots of dancing in the courtyard in the evening and I even got to explore Siena and Pisa in the days after the wedding. I was really grateful that Matt & Holly brought me out to Tuscany with them to document their wedding and Gillian from Weddings in Tuscany did a great job in organising everything for them. We found Olly by chance as he had photographed our venue previously and all we can say is that it was the best discovery we’ve ever made! Olly your service from start to finish was brilliant and we couldn’t have asked for more, you are so welcoming and engaging, you immediately put us at ease. You integrated yourself with guests effortlessly and your photos capture all the best moments from the day. The pictures were far beyond what we could imagined and are truly stunning, I don’t think I have enough words to fully explain the feelings we had when we saw our photos and it’s impossible to pick a favourite. All I can say is that whatever your event you won’t be sorry if you pick Olly!
