I knew Matt & Ellie’s wedding at Hayne House would be special but what I didn’t realise was that there would be amazing moments galore pretty much all day! I photographed my favourite Groom prep ever- Matt playing tennis with his Dad in the morning (his Best Man really got into the role of the ball boy!) Matt & Ellie had an outdoor ceremony with nods to Ellie’s Jewish family heritage- they lit candles and stood on glass. These two met studying Journalism and that’s what they both do now. Their joint speech was incredibly well crafted and very funny. There was joy all throughout the day and the kids gave me so many sweet and funny moments, that joy carried on to the dance floor in the evening as Matt was paraded on his friend’s shoulders. My last duty for the day was getting dragged onto the the dance floor by an Auntie to dance to Beyoncé!! After so many postponements I’m so glad we got there Matt & Ellie!

We were absolutely delighted with Olly’s photos of our wedding. They captured what a joyous day it was and it is wonderful to have the moments to look back on. We very much favour Olly’s approach of candid photography with minimal posed shots. Olly has a very friendly and relaxed manner but was also unobtrusive on the day – we hardly noticed that he was there for much of the wedding day. He also gave us a great pep talk before our speeches which helped calm our nerves! Olly is at the pricier end of wedding photographers but in our opinion he is definitely worth it.
