Josh & Georgia’s Wedding at JoJo’s in Whitstable was one of the happiest and most fun weddings I’ve had the privilege of being part of! I met them at a wedding that I photographed in 2016 and I knew I wanted to photograph this wedding when Josh & Georgia came to visit me in January. They were so easy to talk to and get along with and they even ended up staying and playing with my kids Caleb and Rose after we’d met. On the day the preparations and the ceremony took place at Mount Ephraim Gardens near Canterbury. There were some brilliant moments like when Georgia came out of the bathroom in her wedding dress and the flower girls (Josh’s Nieces) uncovered their eyes to see her. Then there was the moment between Georgia and her Dad. They were both so overcome with emotion that they ended up holding their heads against each other and crying happy tears and this image is one of my favourite Dad Daughter moments I’ve seen. Georgia’s Dad had given Georgia’s childhood fluffy toy to the Registrar to bring out during the ceremony. She did it in a great dead pan way and Georgia didn’t have a clue that her little friend was making an appearance and all the guests found it hilarious! The best bit of the day was when Josh & Georgia left to go to JoJo’s in Whitstable. They pulled off in an MG mini with Josh driving and Georgia the happiest passenger ever! I followed them in my car and Georgia kept on punching the air, waiving her hands and they got so many beeps and waves from other cars and passers by! This was the happiest car journey I’ve ever seen! Amazing! To the beach- Josh picked up Georgia on the pebbles and then lost his footing and they both fell to the ground laughing! I think we spent most of the time wandering around the beach laughing. It felt like I was photographing my close friend’s wedding. I was so happy for them. Onto JoJo’s restaurant. The food was incredible with five courses of seafood and meat cooked to perfection. I was a very happy guest at the table with family over from Australia. The dancing in the evening was brilliant too. Their friend DJ’ed and I appreciated the Justin Bieber/ Craig David mash up and also enjoyed the human worm! I can’t really express how happy I was to be part of this wedding! I’ll always remember it and I can’t wait to see Josh and Georgia again soon!
