James & Emily had their wedding in my very own city at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. They got ready at the Cathedral, went to Wellington House to say their vows and then walked down Canterbury High Street with their friends and family. There was a table outside a restaurant cheering loudly for them as we walked past and I took a quick photo of that table. It turns out it was Mel Giedroyc and Carrie Hope Fletcher applauding the couple. We only realised afterwards! It made Emily’s day! The afternoon and evening was spent back at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge. Before the reception started James and Emily put their Daughter Evie down for a nap and I went up with them. The B&W picture of them kissing to the side of the room as Evie naps has got to be one of my all time favourites. The fact that they trusted me to join them and stay a while and document what happened was amazing. I felt so comfortable around them and they were so sweet with Evie. James hosted a pub quiz in the evening (who needs speeches!?) and the table I was on ended up winning. Then MY NAME was drawn out of a hat to win 6 bottles of Prosecco. I kept on trying to refuse them and give them to the rest of the table but they were having none of it so picture the scene- me walking through Canterbury Cathedral with a big box of Prosecco taking them to my car with my cameras strapped to my side! The dance floor was amazing and James and Emily hired me to photograph until the end, I’m glad I stayed!

I loved our wedding, but getting married was the only thing that was important to us so I wouldn’t have cared if any of it was different… apart from Olly! Wherever we had wed, however we had wed, Olly is the one detail I wouldn’t change! Olly’s photos were honestly like reliving the whole day again which is exactly what we imagined. Thank you so much
