Mark & Olivia got married at Charlton Park near Canterbury, Kent on a beautiful sunny Saturday in May and I’m so pleased they chose me as their wedding photographer! You’d think that working for two Lawyers could be daunting but during our pre wedding meeting and throughout the wedding day Mark and Olivia were laughing with each other, making me laugh and not taking themselves seriously at all! I love these two and their love for each other was so evident throughout the day. Charlton Park was a beautiful setting for this wedding, even driving up to the venue there were ponies to greet us! The ceremony and speeches were my favourite parts of the day. Both were held in a magnificent ballroom with high ceilings and chandeliers and huge windows which let in so much light. It wasn’t only the setting but the way Mark and Olivia were with each other, there were lots of little looks and embraces. Their affection for their Parents was also really special to see. Olivia’s Dad seeing her in her dress was quite a teary moment (even for me!) I learnt in the speeches that Mark used to be a professional cricketer for Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire (I quickly did a Wikipedia search for Mark Wagh when I got home!) A comedy highlight for me was when the resident dog ran up the stairs and tried to gatecrash the wedding breakfast. My assistant Jen had to wrestle the dog out. Olivia was pleased as is turns out she’s allergic to dogs! This was such an amazing wedding to be part of and I hope you enjoy my favourite images. Pete’s incredible video of the day and the couple’s review is at the bottom of the page.
Mark and Olivia rung me and were so overjoyed having looked through the photos! I love this review they sent me “We thought we would get some great pictures, but we were blown away by the number of stunning pictures that Olly produced. He captured the spirit of the day and the personalities of the guests perfectly. We will always treasure the amazing pictures of friends and family that Olly took. Olly was not only the consummate professional, blending into the background so that people didn’t feel uncomfortable being around a photographer, but he also got on so well with everyone that it was like having another, very welcome, guest. We can’t recommend Olly highly enough.”
