This was my 2023 as a Wedding Photographer! I got to be part of 25 brilliant weddings and here are some of my favourite moments that I’ve captured. Getting to photograph a wedding where Escape to the Chateau was filmed in France was a real highlight. I also got to photograph a three day Indian wedding in the Algarve (where I had to perform my own dental work- good thing the Groom was a Dentist!) What was I doing on the hottest day of the year? Photographing Sam & Gemma’s wedding in a glasshouse at RHS Wisely (the heat was worth it- what a wedding!) I also photographed a fair few celebs this year without realising who they were (sorry Carrie Hope Fletcher and Mel Giedroyc!) I even photographed a wedding with one day’s notice which turned out to be amazing. Finally- Lizzie- thanks for being the first Bride in 350 weddings to do the worm on the dance floor! Epic.

After being runner up a couple of years in a row I won Wedding Photographer of the Year for the South East at The Wedding Industry Awards (I was a bit pleased with that!) Above all else I’ve got to meet some amazing couples and their friends and family this year and it’s a huge deal being trusted to document their wedding days so thanks to my couples. I’ve never changed my approach to wedding photography. I just want to capture the real moments and not set anything up. Because of this approach it means I have zero control of what happens in front of me and I love that for the spontaneity. I think this is why I’m loving my job more than ever after 12 years of doing it! 

Next year in 2024 my two day wedding photography course I’m running called “Knight Class” has sold out, I’ve got the National Finals of The Wedding Industry Awards coming up and I’ve also got some exciting weddings to capture. I’m off to Rome twice in 2024, I’m photographing my first wedding in the Alps in May and I’m taking my family out to stay in Chamonix after the wedding. I’m also travelling to Brittany and then I’m off to Rhodes in Greece in September. I also have a wedding at the bottom of my garden! Intrigued? Watch this space!
