Daniel is from Texas, Debra is from Canada, they met in London and planned their destination wedding in the South of France in just THREE MONTHS!? They well and truly pulled it off too. Becci and I joined them to photograph their welcome evening at Chateau de Lerse (it was great to be back there) and we quickly made lots of new American, Canadian and British friends. Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. 

On the wedding day itself we had brunch together and then we travelled 20 minutes down the road to their ceremony at Église Notre-Dame de Berneuil. Daniel & Debra are both passionate Christians and their ceremony represented that with a cappella singing, a vocal group from their Church in London and their vows were some of the most wonderful words I’ve heard a couple make to one another. Full of emotion and honour. I was crying too. 

We went back to the Chateau in the early evening and enjoyed a string section, a dance Daniel and Debra had been learning and ate some yummy french food. These two are full of life and joy and were incredibly easy to photograph!

From our first interaction with Olly we were very impressed by his responsiveness, thoughtfulness, and professionalism which were consistent throughout our entire experience of working with him from start to finish. Olly gave us complete confidence that he would be able to capture the magic of our special day, which he absolutely did! He also went above and beyond to accommodate some specific requests we had and we really appreciated his flexibility. Leading up to the wedding, between zoom calls and emails, Olly made sure we were fully aligned on the gameplan for photography, understood his style (documentary) and what to expect plus some tips for the day. A big plus for us was that Olly also brought along one of his mentee photographers, Becci, who was an amazing second shooter (and lots of fun!) and was able to capture many of the best moments from a second angle. It was truly a pleasure having Olly and Becci at our wedding. They made such an effort to integrate with our friends and family that it felt like they too were guests! Many of our guests commented on how personable, friendly, and fun they were. Finally, the photos themselves are absolutely stunning – the colour, lighting, angles, and creativity fully capture the beauty, emotion, and magic of the day – we feel like we will be able to re-live our wedding through these photos over the years to come. We are so grateful to Olly – truly a delightful experience and would highly recommend!
