The Night Yard is a newly converted wedding venue near Canterbury in Kent. Jono & Lauren had their wedding at the Night Yard this Summer. Jono and Lauren booked me for their wedding 18 months ago and since then we’ve seen quite a lot of each other as our kids have gone to the same nursery and are starting the same school. I was really looking forward to this wedding because of this new friendship. In the morning Lauren got ready with her Bridesmaids, her little girl and her Parents. The Parent’s dog made me laugh as he was standing next to all the wedding snacks with his tongue out dropping all kinds of hints! This was the first time I’ve been to the Night Yard and I was really impressed. They’ve done a great job at converting a farm into a wedding venue. It has a lot of rustic charm. Jono and Lauren had booked a gourmet BBQ for their wedding breakfast and a local ice cream cart for their desert. I loved this idea and I also loved it when their little Son tried to feed Mummy and Daddy ice cream! It was going well until he smeared it all over Dad’s face! After a walk around the fields Lauren helped Jono put some plasters on his sore feet. If ever I’ve seen married life in action so quickly after saying the vows it was here! True love! Not only did I see their love for each other but for their kids too. Having young kids at a wedding is never the easiest thing in the world(!!) but they were so patient and kind with their kids. I wish this brilliant family all the best!
