John & Kajal’s wedding at Froyle Park in Hampshire was a brilliant Indian-English fusion wedding. When I arrived at Froyle Park I was really impressed by the building and the surroundings there. I went to start photographing Kajal and her Bridesmaids getting ready upstairs in the house. There were some hilarious moments (some inspired by an oversharing hair stylist!!) and there were also some really tender moments too. Kajal’s Mum got really teary when the reality of her Daughter getting married sunk in. The outdoor ceremony was on then off then on again because of the rain. In the end there was no rain for the whole day so everyone was able to stay outside and enjoy the gardens and sunshine! The speeches were great. John’s Best Man played a Mr & Mrs game where he gave John’s Daughters toy guns that they could fire at him if he was lying about an answer! During John’s speech he thanked his Daughters and they all ended up hugging in tears. I love this about weddings- one moment laughter and the next happy tears. The food was incredible- beautifully made Indian food with an English twist. In the evening the Indian- English fusion theme continued with a mix of pop and bhangra on the dance floor. My favourite image from the day was taken when John & Kajal went for a wander around Froyle Park. Kajal says that John isn’t normally into PDA’s but this PDA where John kissed Kajal’s forehead was beautiful! John & Kajal were lovely to get to know and their wedding was such a fun one to be part of. I hope you enjoy my favourite images!
Kajal sent me this lovely message “When we were deciding on our photographer for our wedding, we wanted someone who would take pictures which showed natural emotion without any staged actions. Someone who would quite literally blend in with our guests but also be able to take amazing shots. We were not disappointed with Olly. When meeting Olly we were bowled over by his sheer enthusiasm and genuine love for his job and we knew he’d be the man for the job! On the day of our wedding Olly and his assistant Matt Tyler were amazing, even helping out to give John his present from me. We’ve viewed the pictures and are in love with them. It’s allowed us to re-live the best day of our lives, filled with so much love and emotion, which Olly captured quite effortlessly! We would highly recommend Olly as YOUR wedding photographer!”
