I photographed at Port Lympne for Ben and Sangita’s wedding and it was brilliant! I’ve been to Port Lympne before with the family and often wondered what it would be like to photograph a wedding there and this day passed all expectations. I spent time in the morning with Sangita and her Bridesmaids getting ready upstairs in the Port Lympne Hotel and once the Groomsmen arrived I flitted between upstairs and downstairs as everyone started to arrive. The ceremony took place outside on the terrace area. The look of the terrace and the strength of the sun made it look like we were in Italy or Spain, not Kent! My favourite part of the day was definitely in the evening when all the wedding guests went out on safari! I had a seat in front of Ben and Sangita and as the safari truck drove around and as we saw giraffes, zebras and monkeys I laughed to myself that this was work as it didn’t seem like it at all- pure enjoyment! There were some sweet moments where Ben and Sangita leant in towards each other and the setting sun crept into the truck with its golden light- beautiful! I didn’t think the day could get much better but after scaling the tall flight of steps next to the hotel the view from the top of the hill over the zoo and out towards the sea was breathtaking. I loved this day and Ben & Sangita were so warm and welcoming to me. Here are my favourite images!
