Charlie & Beth had their wedding ceremony at St John the Evangelist Church in Ickham then had their reception at Littlebourne Barn near Canterbury in Kent. This wedding was probably the best start to a wedding day that I’ve known. I pulled up in my car outside Beth’s family home and her Dad was giving her a piggy back to go and see the wedding car that had just arrived! I love that this was the first frame that I captured! This wedding was characterised by two main things. The first was the family involvement in making this wedding so special and unique. Beth’s Sister Caitlin designed and made Beth’s wedding dress in her final year of studies (no mean feat!) and it was such a beautiful moment as Caitlin helped Beth into the dress. Family were involved with the music during the ceremony as Beth’s Mum played the harp and Sisters sung and played violin. Beth’s Dad made the bar and ales for the reception (and the list goes on!) The second thing I loved about this wedding was a real sense of joy. I haven’t photographed many Brides more smiley and fun than Beth and her and Charlie were obviously so excited to be Husband and Wife. The fun continued in the afternoon with garden games and into the evening with a Ceilidh. Here are some of my favourite images from this brilliant wedding.
